  • Wedding Reception | 5 December 2015 | Angela & Myles | Luna Park, Sydney

Angela and Myles met at University whilst both were studying medicine. Angela’s initial impression was that Myles was very quiet and Myles thought she was the most beautiful girl he had ever seen. Even though they saw each other every day on the University Campus, it was not until a few months later that they went on their first date, dinner at a Thai Restaurant. Not long afterward they both realised that they were in love. Myles had already spoken to Angela’s parents about marrying their daughter and in September 2014 after a romantic dinner whilst walking along Newcastle Beach, Myles dropped on knee and proposed to Angela.

Fast forward to Saturday, 5 December 2015 and Sydney really turned it on. It was the most gorgeous day for a wedding, sun shining, not a cloud in the sky and a very light gentle breeze to keep everybody that little bit cooler. Angela & Myles selected Luna Park as the location for their reception; and what a superb backdrop for a wedding! A panoramic, dream location with 360-degree views of either Sydney Harbour and all it offers or the bright and colourful amusement park – throw all of that together with an amazing ballroom reception set-up and fill the day with love and I’m sure you can start to understand why the smiles never left anyone’s faces.

The reception started with a bang as everybody welcomed Angela, Myles and their wedding party into the Crystal Ballroom with much love and a room filled with twirling napkins. I then handed the night over to Angela’s brothers, Dylan and Stephen who performed Master of Ceremonies duties for a large portion of the evening. Beautiful speeches, cake cutting, first dance, a father daughter dance where Angela and her dad were joined by Myles and his mum and then all the guests before we shifted gears and transitioned into party mode and danced the night away!

Angela & Myles’ wedding was an incredible celebration of family and I was so honoured to be a part of it as your Sydney Wedding DJ. They are a beautiful couple and there is so much love between them that you just know it is going to carry them through all their years together. It is a love that will be patient with each other, forgive each other and take them to that time when other people will ask them “What’s the secret to a long, happy marriage?”. I have a feeling a lot of people are going to be asking that of these two in the years to come. Even though they are different, they certainly compliment and are perfect for one another – a marriage made in heaven!! May love, laughter and music fill your lives forever!!!

  • Wedding Ceremony & Reception | 28 November 2015 | Melissa & Daniel | Curzon Hall, Marsfield, Sydney

I have known Melissa her entire life and have witnessed her grow up to become a beautiful, family orientated, independent woman – accordingly it was a huge honour to have been given the priviledge of playing a part in her wedding day. Daniel is a friendly, and hard working young man whose love for Melissa is just obvious. They are both kind, humble and gorgeous inside and out. Together they are perfect!!

Whilst the weather forcast included a 40% of rain, there was only some very light rain at various times throughout the day it certainly did not disrupt any of Melissa & Daniel’s plans and actually made it somewhat cooler than it has been recently making it just perfect!

After they exchanged vows and committed themselves to a life together in Melissa’s parish church, they made their way to Curzon Hall in the Sydney suburb of Marsfield to celebrate with their family & friends. Curzon Hall is a heritage listed sandstone mansion which was built in 1899 and today is surrounded by three enchanting gardens featuring professional landscaping and water features making it ideal for their pre reception photographs.

The reception was held in a modern addition to Curzon Hall, which sits adjacent to the mansion. This room was simply and elegantly decorated with a stunning hanging floral arrangement being a feature. Guests enjoyed canapés and refreshment on the terrace on arrival before being asked to take their seats in the ballroom. A short time later we welcomed the members of the wedding party with the room erupting in loud cheers and a sea of white napkins creating excitement as Melissa and Daniel were introduced as husband and wife!

Two delicious entrees were enjoyed before we heard from the two very proud dads, a little bit of fun, before the main meal was served. Dessert followed, then speeches from the best man, Joshua and ending with Daniel. This was followed by the cutting of the wedding cake before Melissa and Daniel stepped onto the dance floor for their very first dance as a married couple – this was such a beautiful sight to witness, with both of them totally in the moment and virtually oblivious to anything else going on around them – it was a moment they will remember forever. I feel that some of my amateur images below managed to capture this beautiful and special moment that they shared.

It was now party time! With Melissa leading the charge, (she was literally on the dance floor for the entire dancing time) guests danced the night away. Before what seemed like no time at all, it was time to start wrapping up this beautiful celebration of love. The bouquet toss, garter toss, a lovely moment as Melissa and her dad shared a father daughter dance, a farewell dance where all the guests joined them on the dance floor and through a guard of honour to commence the rest of their lives together.

Melissa and Daniel’s wedding day was filled with the warmth and love of their family and friends. Perfect weather, gorgeous people and lots of laughter, certainly is a sure fire recipe for wonderful memories…..and their day had all these elements and much more in abundance!!!

Melissa and Daniel, it was a total joy and pleasure to have been given the opportunity to play a part in your wedding day as your Sydney Wedding MC and Sydney Wedding DJ. Congratulations on finding your true love! Remember to lean on each other’s strengths and forgive each other’s weaknesses and may every day you share deepen and strengthen your love as you accompany one another to your happy ever after! Wishing you both love and happiness always! May love, laughter and music fill your lives forever!!!

  • Wedding Reception | 22 May 2015 | Tessa & Ulysses | The Tea Room QVB, Sydney

“Let us celebrate the occasion with wine and sweet words” ~ Plautus

Sometimes it the most unfortunate of circumstances and when we least expect it, love can find a way of manifesting it’s presence. It all started with Tessa and Ulysses’ dads who were best friends. Uly even played with Tessa and her older sister when they were all kids. Uly was living in London when he received the sad news that his father has passed away suddenly due to heart failure and immediately returned to Australia for the funeral. It was at the funeral that Tessa & Ulysses met again. They only very vaguely remembered each other but it was the start of a beautiful love story that would eventually lead to their wedding day.

Following the funeral, Tessa looked Uly up on Facebook and following Uly’s return to London, they chatted via Facebook, with a shared love of food, they often cooked a meal together, via Facebook, and posted what they had cooked for each other to see. This eventually led to Skype dates and within five months of the funeral, Tessa felt compelled to go to London. She was met by Uly and welcomed with a “spin, dip & kiss” in front of a terminal full of people. At the end of the three weeks they knew they were in love.

On 3 May 2013, following numerous fake proposals in the week leading up to this day, Uly asked Tessa to be his wife and share the rest of her life with him. Fast forward to 22 May 2015 and here we were celebrating their marriage at The Tea Room Queen Victoria Building. This stylish venue with it’s custom designed Baccarat crystal chandeliers and beautiful Victorian ceiling, was the perfect choice for this gorgeous couple’s wedding reception.

It was an evening filled with lots of wonderful emotions – there were tears, there was laughter, there were more tears, there was a heap of fun and there was love; there was lots of LOVE! It was so beautiful to see just how much Tessa and Uly were adored by their family and friends and to see them join in and truly celebrate their marriage. Lots of guests dancing the night away, Tessa & Uly hoisted into the air (which was really so fitting as we had introduced them as Lord Ulysses and Lady Tessa at the beginning of the evening).

Tessa and Uly are a beautiful fun-loving couple with whom I instantly connected with. I loved meeting with them and hearing some of their stories about their journey which led to their wedding day. Love is not reflected in superficial prettiness. Love is creating
something together that will last long after you are around to see what it becomes. It was such an immense honour to have been given the opportunity to be a part of this historic moment in your lives. I feel so very privileged to have played a small part as your Wedding DJ Sydney & Sydney Wedding MC in creating some of the memories for your future. I know that your love will leave a legacy bigger than you ever imagined! May love, laughter and music fill your lives forever!!!
