Wedding Reception | 22 September 2007 | Carolyn & Andrew | Stamford Plaza Hotel, Double Bay, Sydney
Reception for 250 guests held at the Stamford Plaza Hotel (now the Inter-Continental) located in Double Bay in Sydney’s Eastern Suburbs. This hotel was previously the Ritz Carlton and is known for being the place where Michael Hutchence of INXS met his untimely end. It was a very lovely, elegant and fun evening with Carolyn and Andrew entering in traditional Chinese costume and later changing back into Western wedding wear.

Jen Gowh – A Chinese tradition where the parents and Bride & Groom visit each table clinking their glasses exclaiming “Yum Sing!” – a form of cheers. Apparently the louder that it is said, the more luck the couple will have. Check out the videos below to see what I mean. There certainly were some loud and also lengthy “Yum Sings” on the night – meaning that Carolyn and Andrew’s marriage will be full of much happiness!!!
