So much more than what couples have become accustomed to expecting from a DJ or MC Service – Prior to your wedding, I offer unlimited personal and telephone consultations for planning and music selection assistance, I provide suggestions and creative involvement for special events, wedding professional recommendations, assistance with other aspects of your wedding and a shoulder to cry on or a listening ear when you need to vent.
On your wedding day, acting as your entertainment director, I work with all your wedding professionals ensuring they all know what is happening next to make sure your wedding flows smoothly. This involves guiding the reception from the moment your guests arrive through to the introductions, speeches, cake cutting, special dances and farewells, including details such as where to stand and tracking down missing people. In addition to my role as your master of ceremonies and DJ entertainer, I help create special moments and make sure your photographer and videographer are there to capture the memories. But most importantly, I offer you peace of mind that comes with knowing you have hired a experienced full-time professional wedding DJ MC entertainer who will maximise the enjoyment of your guests, create lifelong memories and always has your very best interests at heart.
Yes. Wedding Master of Ceremonies service is available independent of the DJ MC Service. Options available are; DJ MC or MC Only. Ceremony DJ may be added to either option. In select circumstances Ceremony DJ or DJ Only service may be possible – please call to discuss.
DJ:Plus! Entertainment is a specialist Wedding MC and DJ. My philosophy focuses on quality and not quantity. Your wedding is unique and should be treated as such. To ensure that each wedding is given the proper attention it rightly deserves, DJ:Plus Entertainment only accepts 20 clients per year. Wedding ceremonies and receptions represents almost 100% of my business; weddings are my speciality and passion!
You are invited to be as involved as you would like in selecting the music as I custom craft a wedding entertainment experience that really represents you. A combination of blending the artists and songs that are important to you with selections which your guests will respond to whilst reading the crowd is what experience has shown works best to keep the dance floor pumping.
Always! The primary equipment setup has some built in redundancy but to further ensure that should any issues arise, the problem can be quickly remedied, I also have additional components and a secondary independent system available on site.
Attire is always elegant and very professional. My preference is to wear a stylish black lounge suit.
DJ:Plus! Entertainment has complete Public Liability insurance coverage up to $30,000,000. A current Certificate of Currency is available and gladly provided should your ceremony and/or reception venue require.
Absolutely! In fact, it is my preference to meet my couples before they make their booking decision.
Talking with you, hearing all about your ideas and plans, getting a sense of who you are and what you want, is a very important part of the evaluation process to ensure we are a match.
I also recommend a progress meeting and another about three weeks to a month prior to your wedding to go over all the fine details.
For couples that are planning their wedding from overseas, interstate or intrastate, I am available by telephone, email and Zoom, Skype and Facebook Messenger as well.

I really want you to get the entertainment that fits you best. So, if you really like flashy DJs with lots of sound equipment and lights and/or an MC that just does basic announcements or loves the sound of their own voice, then you probably shouldn’t hire me. I am also not right for the couple who wants a cookie-cutter wedding reception like every other one they’ve seen before.
DJ:Plus! Entertainment’s music library is quite extensive and does include most common requests. However, if you give an advance request for music that I do not own, I will make every effort to obtain it for your event. The further in advance I receive the request, the more likely I’ll be able to provide it.
No. DJ:Plus! Entertainment always schedules to arrive around three hours or more earlier than the agreed start time of the event. This allows ample time to be completely set-up, a sound check to be carried out, elimination of any potential problems and liaison with venue/event personnel prior to the time that your first guest arrives.
This is up to you. DJ:Plus! Entertainment can be as interactive as you would like. I pride myself on being able to tailor the performance to suit your needs and vision. Whilst audience participation is always recommended as this promotes party fun, should all you wish is some low background music, I can accommodate that as well. Again, it is entirely up to you.
Yes. Every client that engages DJ:Plus! Entertainment to perform at their event will receive a written contract that details all the particulars and terms relating to the event. If a DJ or MC will not give you a written contract, then you are best off to keep looking. A contract protects both parties. Always get a contract.
Absolutely not. DJ:Plus! Entertainment prides itself on being elegant. Whilst referral business is always very much appreciated, I feel that the service I provide speaks for itself. I therefore do not display any banners, logos, or signs on any of the equipment or elsewhere in the function room nor place any business cards on the dinner tables. Should any of your guests wish a business card for future reference, one will be discreetly provided to them upon their request.
One of the advantages about booking DJ:Plus! Entertainment, is that you deal directly with me from your initial enquiry right through to the conclusion of the performance at your event. For clients who book DJ:Plus! Entertainment, that’s great! – as they receive the utmost personalised service, attention to detail and so much more than just great music. For those that wish to engage my services for a date that is already booked, if you wish, I may be able to assist by providing details for a select group of professional DJ and/or MC operators that I have confidence in, and know, will have your best interests at heart.
The rate will vary based on your requirements & services desired and if applicable, any travel related expenses. I am certainly not the cheapest, but my rates reflect the top-notch service, inclusions, time dedicated, attention to detail and care I take with your special day.
