  • Wedding Reception | 1 December 2011 | Alana & Peter | Bathers’ Pavilion, Balmoral Beach, Mosman, Sydney

When I first met Alana and Peter they shared how Peter had proposed during the 2010 New Year’s Eve midnight fireworks. How the ring did not fit. Alana’s surprise at the proposal, how she could not stop saying “oh my god, oh, my god” and how she still had not actually said yes yet. Fast forward to 1 December 2011 and whilst Alana has still not said yes, she certainly did say “I do”. Alana and Peter celebrated their wedding at Bathers’ Pavilion on Balmoral Beach, on what turned out to be a fantastic summers day, in a lovely relaxed, no-fuss kind of way, with 49 close family and friends, which was perfectly them! Alana and Peter have a super fun family and friends who know how to boogie and how to really have fun. Thank you so much for inviting me to play a role in your wedding day – it was an absolute pleasure. I wish you both a lifetime of happiness and may love, laughter and music fill your lives forever.

  • Wedding Reception | 11 November 2011 | Alonya & Richard | Australian Museum, Dinosaur Room, Sydney

In early October I was contacted by DJ Richard Mills, one of New Zealand’s finest wedding DJs, informing me that he was coming to Sydney to entertain at a wedding of an old friend. DJ Richard and I have had many trans Tasman conversations over the years about weddings, equipment, and all things DJ. I was very pleased when DJ Richard asked if I was willing to ride along, assist and provide some feedback – I of course jumped at this opportunity and also helped out with the audio requirements.

Alonya and Richard (the groom) were married at the Archibald Fountain in Hyde Park earlier in the afternoon, following which, as it was also Remembrance Day, Alonya decided to lay her bouquet at the ANZAC Memorial in Hyde Park.

The intimate Reception for 40 guests, was held in the Dinosaur Room of the Australian Museum with the theme being Steampunk. It was a very lovely, relaxed wedding reception and a delight to meet Alonya and Richard who are both happy go lucky and warm people..that are so in love and just perfect for one another.

It was great to be at a wedding where there really was no pressure on me, I could take everything in, witness the love between two lovely people, who I might add really made me feel like I was an invited guest and observe another professional work their magic.

Enjoy the pictorial record of Alonya and Richard’s Wedding.

DJ:Plus! Entertainment was pleased to have been one of the select wedding suppliers invited to participate in the Four Seasons Hotel Sydney Wedding Expo. It was lovely meeting lots of excited brides who were planning their wedding.

The Expo was held in the Grand Ballroom of the Hotel and was set up as if an actual wedding was occurring so that attendees could better picture their own wedding, get lots inspiration and ideas and meet various suppliers, whilst being served canapés and drinks throughout the entire day. One lucky attendee was lucky enough to win a luxury honeymoon at Four Seasons Bali Resort with Business Class airfares and others special door prizes.

Here are some photographs of the DJ:Plus Entertainment “booth”,the tables set up in the Grand Ballroom and a couple of dresses on display in the foyer area.
