Wedding DJ Sydney

  • Wedding Reception | 5 November 2016 | Samara & Westley | Doltone House, Darling Island Wharf, Pyrmont, Sydney

It would appear that Samara and Westley were destined to be together, maybe as part of some grand plan by a greater being or maybe just by fate, but whatever the reason, it was obviously just meant to be. From their paths continually crossing in their teenage years at athletics and soccer, through to university later on in life, neither were able to escape the power of the circumstances which was responsible for them connecting, falling in love and becoming united in marriage to commencing their together forever journey.

Now whilst their paths were continually crossing, there had only been admiration from afar. It was not until an invitation to a mutual friend’s birthday party, and acting on a dare from her Mum, that Samara added Westley on Facebook. Westley accepted and this prompted lots of Facebook chats and eventually organising to go to dinner. When Samara and Westley met with me when they were enquiring into my services, Westley shared that he knew he was in love with Samara within the first three weeks of them first meeting and that she was the one he wanted to marry within six months.

Fast forward to 20 June 2015 where following a few weeks of preparation, surprised Samara with a proposal! It all started two weeks earlier when Westley spoke to Samara’s parents about asking for their daughter’s hand in marriage and then went to Wentworth Falls in the Blue Mountains to scout out the perfect location for the proposal at the base of a waterfall. The next weekend he went back with a photographer to check out where they could hide and have the moment captured. Given that each year from their first meeting they celebrated their anniversary in some way, Samara was unsuspecting of anything when Westley suggested they go to the Blue Mountains for the day.

The morning of they left early to go to the Blue Mountains. On the way when the conversation shifted to engagements, weddings and related things, Westley started to think that Samara may have suspected what he had planned, but no, she had no inkling of what was to come. When they reached Wentworth Falls and they were making their way down the steps, Westley pretended he did not know where he was going (even though he had been there the previous two weekends), by making comments and questioning if they were going the right way to get to the waterfall.

When they reached the waterfall, Westley said he wanted a photo at the base of the waterfall on some table height rocks. Samara was reluctant to climb up on those rocks and said things like “if you fall and hurt yourself, I can’t carry you back up!”. After to and froing for what seemed like five minutes to Westley at the time (but in reality was only about 20 seconds), Samara and Westley got up onto the rock. He put down his back and grabbed the ring from it. He then walked over to Samara and asked her, “did you think I was going to propose today?” To which Samara said “No.” Westley then said, “Well I am!” and got down on one knee and asked her to be his wife. Samara’s eyes started to fill with tears of happiness, her legs started to shake, she was momentarily speechless, before accepting with a most resounding, YES!

Oh…and yes the photographer did get the photo :-)!!

Saturday 5 November 2016, the day had finally arrived and Sydney shone like a diamond turning on such a perfect day for their wedding. They selected Doltone House, Darling Island Wharf as the location for their elegant wedding celebration. The room looked AMAZING! Their cake from The Cake Studio was detailed and spectacular, the table centrepieces from Anna Wang graced the tables along with the florals which hung from the ceiling above the bridal table and the white dance floor all coming together to create a beautiful and elegant feel in the room.

The evening was filled with heartfelt moments, fun, laughter, good food and lots of dancing! It was the perfect celebration of their love and the commitment to a life together. Samara and Westley are both kind, humble, gorgeous inside and out and reflective of their strong family bonds and the values instilled in them in their upbringing. They are much loved and this was evident thoughout the entire day. It was also fortunate and a great pleasure to have Siempre, Cinemotive Wedding Films and U Got Snapped Photobooth assist in capturing these fun and emotional moments – can’t wait to see the professional photographs and video!!

Together, Samara and Westley created a magical day filled with love, laughter a few tears of happiness, lots of fun and memories which they will treasure always. Thank you for inviting me to play a part in your magical day as your Wedding MC Sydney and Wedding DJ Sydney. I loved every second of it! It was such an awesome day with such awesome people. • Wedding Ceremony & Reception | 18 June 2016 | Emily & Aaron | Belgenny Farm, Camden, Sydney

“I love your smile, I love your creativity and I love the way that you, don’t
just complement my brand of craziness – you actually add to it!” ~
Aaron to Emily during his speech.

Emily and Aaron met through Emily’s guitar teacher from high school, who happened to be a friend of Aaron’s. Whilst there were a couple of quick, pleasant exchanges, because Aaron, who happened to be in a band at the time, was totally focused on the band and no real conversation took place. Sub-consciously however he was thinking that Emily was really cute. It was not until a costume party, where Emily dressed as Strawberry Short Cake and Aaron as Duff Man, that they spent some significant time together speaking. Little did thy know that the spark had been ignited and that their destiny had been determined!

As the love between them grew, it became more and more apparent that they could not imagine life without the other and in January 2015 whilst in Rosenberg, Germany, Aaron dropped to one knee and asked Emily to be his wife. Fast forward to 18 June 2016 and with overnight rain and the prospect of another onslaught of heavy rains and winds for their wedding day, a fortnight after a low pressure system had caused widespread flooding and damage, they were understandably, both a little anxious. A quick look at the radar and the call was made to proceed with the outdoor ceremony that they wanted so much. At 2:00 pm with the sun breaking through the cloud cover over Belgenny Farm, Emily walked down the aisle, exchanged vows and became Aaron’s wife. The happiness that they felt to be finally married was reflected in the continuous smiles on their faces as they walked back down the aisle (see photographs below).

Congratulations from their guests, some family photographs and Emily, Aaron and their wedding party proceeded to have photographs around the Belgenny Farm grounds. Meanwhile guests were entertained by live music from some of Emily and Aaron’s musically talented friends and a selection of lawn games. As the sun started to set and the air started to get cooler, guests made their way into The Granary before welcoming Emily, Aaron and their wedding party which great enthusiasm.

What a celebration it was, there was lots of FUN, emotional and humorous moments, laughter and some great memories created. Predominately though it was a celebration full of LOVE! It was amazing to be able to stand in the room and look at all the beaming faces and how happy everyone was for Emily and Aaron. I loved seeing the little whispers of “I love you” that they exchanged throughout the evening. It was a wedding incorporating all the things that they both loved – yes, even cricket, which is one of Aaron’s loves but which Emily hates!

All too soon, it was time to wrap up the celebration and farewell our gorgeous couple. With everyone on the dance floor, surrounding Emily and Aaron as they acted out the lyrics of Queen’s Bohemian Rhapsody it culminated with everybody dancing before Emily and Aaron departed through a sparkler guard of honour!

Emily and Aaron, thank you so much for the huge trust you placed in me and giving me the great honour to be a part of your wedding day as your Wedding MC Sydney and Wedding DJ Sydney. It was such a pleasure getting to know you both, brainstorming ideas and custom crafting an entertaining and engaging wedding with the both of you. When we first met, you indicated that you both had a vision for a beautiful, unique and fun wedding. I hope that I contributed to making your dream a reality. I have no doubt whatsoever that your marriage will produce a new improved ‘brand of craziness’ that is full of endless mutual respect, care, commitment and so much love. May love, laughter and music fill your lives forever!!

  • Wedding Ceremony & Reception | 20 February 2016 | Jenna & Aaron | Pier One Sydney Harbour, Sydney

The love story of Jenna & Aaron began whilst they were both deployed at sea in the Royal Australian Navy. As circumstances would have it, they had been on the same ship for around five months and had not run into each other. It was not until they were in Tokyo, that they met in a bar and felt very comfortable with each other that the spark was ignited, they had their first kiss and this relationship commenced.

A week later, they went on their first date – bowling, movie (which Jenna fell asleep in) and dinner. Since they were on the same ship, they met for dinner and a coffee regularly and the relationship commenced to blossom. By the time they got back to Sydney 4 months later, they realised that they were in love. It was not until Jenna was posted to Perth around four months later that they both knew that they could not live without each other.

At the end of March 2014, Aaron placed a ring inside a Kinder Surprise, knowing that Jenna always craved chocolate after dinner, organised Thai food for dinner and when Jenna returned from her afternoon Gym ritual, he knew she would ask for chocolate, which she did. This plan almost backfired on Aaron as Jenna could not feel/hear anything in the Kinder Surprise and thought it was empty, but was surprised by an engagement ring. A shocked and speechless Jenna eventually said yes and here we were overlooking beautiful Sydney Harbour at Pier One as Jenna and Aaron became husband and wife.

It was an absolutely perfect day for this lovely couple. A beautiful ceremony, officiated by Angela Blattman before Jenna and Aaron signed the official documents and were pronounced united in marriage. Congratulations all round, a group photograph and Jenna, Aaron and their wedding party were off for photographs by MM Photos, around the city.

Meanwhile, guests were treated to refreshments and canapés. A little while later we welcomed our newlyweds and their wedding party. A delicious entrée, speeches by the two dads, Mark and Brett, the father daughter dance, main meal, a few words from the best man, Adam and Aaron, a couple of fun activities, dessert and it was time for the first dance. This was a beautiful moment which I am certain that Jenna & Aaron will treasure forever. It was then party time!! and as you can see from the photographs and video below, they certainly did party!

All too soon it was time for the Mother Son dance, the farewell circle, a farewell dance and it was time for Jenna and Aaron to start the rest of their happy ever after as husband and wife.

It was an amazing wedding with an awesome couple who truly adore each other. It was a wedding which was filled with many personal touches and whilst the circumstances which led them to me when probably not the most ideal for them, I am so pleased that the universe decided that our paths should cross. It was not only a pleasure, honour and privilege to have been asked to take part in this lifetime event, but a whole heap of fun. Jenna and Aaron, thank you for selecting me as your wedding MC Sydney and also as your wedding DJ Sydney. May love, laughter and music fill your lives forever!
