On Tuesday 2 December 2014, DJ:Plus! Entertainment was once again recognised as one of the state’s Best Wedding MC & DJ Entertainers by ABIA at the 18th NSW Annual Bridal Industry Awards. Taking out runner-up in the Master Of Ceremonies Category, DJ:Plus! Entertainment was also a finalist in the Disc Jockey and Ceremony Music Categories. Consistently a finalist or winner each and every year since 2001, DJ:Plus! Entertainment’s continued success at these prestigious awards is a testament to the passion and hard work invested into each and every wedding that I am given the honour to be a part of.
The Australian Bridal Industry Awards are voted on by newlyweds rating and reviewing suppliers based on the ‘Quality of Product’, ‘Quality of Service’, ‘Value for Money’ and ‘Attitude of Staff’ of each of the nominated wedding suppliers. The ratings are collated and used to determine who were, in the opinion of the voting newlyweds, the best suppliers of each wedding category.
I wish to extend my heartfelt thanks to all my beautiful brides & grooms that took the time to provide feedback on their wedding experience using my services to ABIA. You all give the greatest honour to be a part of this milestone event in your lives, it is something which means the world to me and something which I never take for granted. I look forward to help create many more wonderful memories throughout 2015 and beyond.
“I love the ground under his feet, and the air over his head, and everything he touches and every word he says. I love all his looks, and all his actions and him entirely and all together.” ~ Emily Bronte
Adoration is such a thing of beauty, it gives a rose coloured hue to all things in sight, especially to those whom we love… The blush coloured bridesmaid dresses and the blush, cream, soft pink and white florals at Sally and Colin’s wedding is a nod to the adoration that they have for each other, and the French country theme certainly hinted at romance!
When I first met them earlier this year, they told me of their plans for a simple, relaxed, smooth flowing and fun wedding that involved their family and friends – I believe that their wedding day was all those things and more!.
Sally and Colin are an absolutely beautiful genuine, down to earth couple who make each other smile and just adore one another. They held their ceremony and reception on the grounds of Montrose House (Formerly Montrose Berry Farm) in Sutton Forest, Southern Highlands and it was just perfect, just like their love for each other. Their fun and personal ceremony was officiated by Sue Jackman and committed themselves to a life together in the front garden of this picturesque property. After the ceremony, the guests enjoyed the grounds whilst being served drinks and canapés whilst Sally, Colin and their wedding party had photographs around the property.
A little while later guests made their way into the reception room which looked amazing! Sally really wanted an outdoor reception, but for various reasons this was not possible. Undeterred, Sally brought the outdoors indoors! Lush foliage, ferns, flowers, string/festoon lighting, books, candles creating the perfect ambiance for the celebration of their marriage. Shortly after entering Sally and Colin cut the their wedding cake – which had been made by Sally’s Aunt, Lynette. This was followed with some lovely speeches from the Dads, Athol & Colin Senior, Maid of Honour, Jill and Bestman, Jamie. Guests were then served a delicious main meal before we heard from Sally’s Mum, Donna and then Colin himself. A fun activity, Dessert and Sally & Colin made their way to the dance floor for their very first dance as husband and wife. What made this dance even more special was that it was sung and played by bridesmaid Jessie. Guests then danced the night away!
It was such a beautiful day and evening – I know Sally enjoyed herself as she was dancing for most of the evening. Sally and Colin, thank you for granting me the huge honour to play a role in both your wedding ceremony and wedding reception as your Southern Highlands Wedding DJ & MC – I loved every moment of your day! Your love for each other is undeniable. It will continue to flourish and along with your adorable little girl, Matilda, your future will be filled with endless happiness. May love, laughter and music fill your lives forever!!!

It was such an honour and privilege to be a part of this wonderful event in both Teresa & Jason’s life and must admit I was totally blown away when they asked me to MC and entertain at their wedding. As Jason is the first born of a very dear friend of mine, that I consider family, I have accordingly, had the pleasure of witnessing many of the milestones in his life to date. I remember the first time I met Teresa, it was at a family event and I did notice a special connection between the two of them. As their love for each other grew stronger, they started to build their future with the addition of three beautiful children and recently a lovely new home.
On this day, in front of all their family and friends, Teresa and Jason committed themselves to a life together and finally became husband and wife. They celebrated their love at Siena Events in South West Sydney. It was a joyous evening full of fun, laughter and lots of love in the air!! Guests enjoyed a delicious meal, great speeches, fun activities, a photo booth, dancing and more. Everybody was so just so happy for them; there were lots of smiles and showed it by being active participants to make it a time which they will always recall with fondness.
Teresa and Jason are two of the most generous, funny, humble and sweet people I know and hope that in some little way, I helped make their day just a little more memorable – thank you for allowing me to be a part of your wedding day and more so, your lives. I believe your future will always be full of love, happiness, family and friends. I know that your love will continue to grow and that the next chapter of your life together will be the absolute best. May love, laughter and music fill your lives forever!!
