• Wedding Ceremony & Reception | 2 March 2014 | Barbara & Warren | Private Residence, Kurrajong

Barbara and Warren are a beautiful couple who first met a few years ago on a bus trip from Sydney to Melbourne. They started dating soon afterwards and have been inseparable ever since. As their friendship grew and blossomed into a deep love, they soon realised that  they wanted to be with each other forever. Their love and devotion for each other is unique, genuine and special. From leaving little love notes in lunchboxes to jointly caring for their ‘family’ of animals, Tommy, Ringo, Big Dog and the Birdies, which they love dearly, to enjoying the simple things in life, they place all their energy in making sure their relationship is full of happiness, because at the end of the day, that is what is most important to them.

    Even though the rain somewhat spoiled plans for their outdoor ceremony, surrounded by family, friends and a whole heap of love, they exchanged vows to become husband and wife. Please allow me to share a beautiful reading from the ceremony which truly expresses how Barbara and Warren feel about each other;

    I Love You Because

I love you because you’re my future,
my present and part of my past.
My world has been turning so quickly,
and time just keeps moving so fast.

I love you because you have something,
    no ordinary person could give.
Warmth that I will cling to forever,
and hold onto as long as I live.

I love you because your devotion,
    is tender and wonderfully rare.
    And no-one could ever imagine
    the magical moments we share.

I love you because you are truthful,
your eyes hold a key to my heart.
I know that you share my commitment,
and I know that we never shall part.

I love you because you are wonderful.
and you give me all that I need.
A hug when I seek reassurance,
and a smile when we’ve disagreed.

I love you because – I just love you,
for too many reasons to say.
And I’ll always be right here beside you,
a breath and a heartbeat away.

Whilst it rained off and on throughout the day, everybody enjoyed themselves as we had guests ‘sing for their supper’,  messages from overseas, lovely speeches and dancing, including an impromptu pole dance by a guest and the mother of the groom, utilising the centre pole of the marquee which had everyone in stitches from the laughter.

The theme for Barbara and Warren’s wedding was butterflies – when Barbara’s grandfather passed away she always saw butterflies at his grave, then when Barbara and Warren moved into their house together, two butterflies comfortably placed themselves on the fly screen door of their home. Needless to say Barbara and Warren both feel very blessed and supported by her grandparents in their love for each other.

Barbara and Warren it was such a privilege and honour to be a part of your wedding day as your Hawkesbury Wedding DJ & MC and a great personal pleasure to get to know you both. I know you have a very special love and I know that, that love will grow stronger with each and every passing day.  May love, laughter and music continue to fill your lives forever!!!

  • Wedding Ceremony & Reception | 1 February 2014 | Alyce & Robert | Terrara House Estate, Terara, Nowra, South Coast

Alyce and Robert first met at an underage disco, but did not get together until many years later. It was during a trip to New Zealand in January 2012, that Robert proposed to Alyce whilst enjoying a Gondola ride in Queenstown. Fast forward to the most wonderful and perfect summer day on the South Coast of NSW and Terrara House Estate, a gorgeous heritage listed country property surrounded by lush green paddocks and lovely manicured gardens, where family and friends gathered to share in and witness Alyce and Robert become husband and wife. Following the beautiful ceremony, officiated by Natasha Hill, guests enjoyed canapes and refreshments in the shaded picturesque garden whilst Alyce, Robert and their wedding party wandered around the ground for photographs.

Then as the sun started to set, everybody made their way to the marquee for the evenings celebrations. The marquee was beautifully decorated and the warm and balmy night meant celebrations continued under a beautiful moonlit sky fanned by a gentle breeze – the perfect setting for a really lovely wedding, full of big smiles, happy guests and lots of love.

Alyce and Robert thoroughly enjoyed mingling with their guests, the photo booth and hitting the dance floor. The guests were treated to delicious food, delightful speeches, dancing, a particular beauty and softness that was everywhere you looked and all enhanced by the deep love that this beautiful couple share. Everybody enjoyed every moment of their wedding, in fact they were having so much fun, they really didn’t want it to end!!

Alyce & Robert, thank you for inviting me to be a part of your amazing wedding day, it was such a huge honour and privilege to be your South Coast Wedding DJ & MC. It was a great personal pleasure getting to know you both and seeing the strong bonds on both sides of the family, but most of all, I love that you are both so very much in love with each other and you each can’t imagine your life without each other in it. A huge congratulations to you both, enjoy your honeymoon in the US and may love, laughter and music continue to fill your lives forever!!!

  • Wedding Song Remake – I’m Gonna Be (500 Miles) by Sleeping At Last

Chances are that this song and lyrics will ring a bell for most of you: “I would walk 500 miles, and I would walk 500 more.” Place the melody? It’s an incredibly popular song from the late eighties by The Proclaimers. Well, this cover by Sleeping At Last, which featured on “Grey’s Anatomy”, is so heartfelt and changes what some consider a cheesy song to one which has so much emotion and would be magical for a processional or first dance. Hope you enjoy it.

    I’m Gonna Be (500 Miles)

When I wake up, well I know I’m gonna be
I’m gonna be the man who wakes up next to you.
And when I go out, yeah I know I’m gonna be
I’m gonna be the man who goes along with you.

And when I come home, yeah I know I’m gonna be
I’m gonna be the man who’s coming home to you.
And when I’m dreamin’, well I know I’m gonna dream
I’m gonna dream about the time when I’m with you.

But I would walk 500 miles
And I would walk 500 more
Just to be the man who walked 1000 miles
To fall down at your door

When I’m workin’, yeah I know I’m gonna be
I’m gonna be the man who’s workin’ hard for you.
And when the money comes in for the work I do
I’ll pass along every cent of it to you.

And when I’m lonely, well I know I’m gonna be
I’m gonna be the man who’s lonely without you.
And if I grow old, well I know I’m gonna be
I’m gonna be the man who’s growing old with you.

But I would walk 500 miles
And I would walk 500 more
Just to be the man who walked 1000 miles
To fall down at your door [x2]

When I wake up, well I hope I’m gonna be
I’m gonna be the man who’s waking up to you.
And when I’m dreamin’, well I know I’m gonna dream
I’m gonna dream about the time I had with you.
