  • Private Event | 10 July 2009 | Shelley’s 30th Birthday | Springwood Sports Club, Springwood, Blue Mountains

Shelley celebrated her 30th Birthday with a Flirty Thirties themed event. 120 guests helped create a fantastic fun filled evening at Springwood Sports Club, which is located in the heart of the Blue Mountains, just 15 minutes from Penrith. As guests approached the function room door they were greeted by two lovely ladies and a gentleman from Purple Rain Entertaintainment , had their name checked off the guest list and presented with a “goodie bag” which contained both naughty and nice items.

Upon entering the room, there were photographs of Marilyn Monroe and Audrey Hepburn plus movies such as Gentlemen Prefer Blondes, Breakfast At Tiffanys and Some Like It Hot on the big screen – these plus the mood lighting really set the scene as we awaited our guest of honour’s arrival.

Shelley entered the room to “Bad Attitude” by Pink and received a fan-tab-u-lous round of applause and cheers from all the guests. She then proceeded to mingle and relax with her guests. During this time the ladies and gentleman from Purple Rain Entertainment worked the room taking Polaroids of guests and distributing cigars from the cigar tray.

Shelley then made a quick speech followed by a few words from her loving husband. Following this, I was instructed to “let it rip” and it was time to really party!

We briefly interrupted the dancing for the Purple Rain Trio to perform a burlesque routine, which to everyone’s surprise, also featured Shelley!! It was a great show with the girls and guy dancing and singing – and enjoyed by all present. May I say that Shelley did a really good job!!! (I hope to obtain footage of the entire routine, if I manage to do so, I will add it to this post. )

The dancing then resumed and continued into the wee hours of the morning. Shelley is a very lovely lady and she had a wonderful time celebrating her 30th birthday. She went to great lengths and put a lot of time and effort into planning and organising the celebration – I believe it was a success and everybody had a blast! What an absolute pleasure it was to have been given the opportunity to meet her and to be a part of this milestone in her life.

  • Corporate Event | 22 November 2008 | Rosehill Gardens, Rosehill, Sydney

Baseball Club 25th Anniversary. Held at Rosehill Gardens Racecourse and offers spectacular views over the racecourse and city skyline. 190 members and guests gathered to celebrate the 25th Anniversary of the Baseball Club. There were only minimal formalities and it really was a social night for everybody to enjoy each others company away from the field and competition.

Following Dinner, drawing of door prizes and a fund raising auction, the “Zen Men” ( Contact Andrew 0408 026 693) a band consisting of a member or two from the club played their first of two sets. Following this I played my first set. An enjoyable evening was had by all and a fitting way to celebrate 25 fantastic years – with one big party!!!
