  • Wedding Ceremony & Reception | 11 May 2013 | Tumbling Waters Retreat, Stanwell Tops

It did start to rain a little before the ceremony was scheduled to begin, after what was a sunny morning, but the rain could not compete with the force of the great love held for our beautiful couple by all those gathered and by the time the ceremony was scheduled to begin, the rain was just a very fine mist allowing us to proceed in the garden at Tumbling Waters Retreat overlooking the stunning vista as planned.

“G & “M” have requested privacy which I totally respect and honour; so there will be no photographs of this beautiful couple or their guests, but I have included a selection from the day so you may appreciate the care taken with their wedding dream, take inspiration from some of their styling ideas and admire the beauty of this wonderful location.

Following the ceremony, whilst “G” & “M” had photographs taken around the Tumbling Waters Retreat grounds, guests enjoyed canapés and drinks on the deck and availed themselves to Kumar, the caricature artist who on hand to provide a sketch of each guest – what a great memento to have and take home! Soon the wedding party were ready to enter the reception began. A short welcome and thank you from “M” before guests were served their delicious entrée.

“G” & “M” then cut their Pavlova wedding cake before we played the newlywed game, which the guests absolutely loved!! This was followed by another quick game to determine who the lucky guest was at each table who would take home the stunning centrepiece – flowers and vase! Let me tell you there were some very excited guests!  The main meal was then served before it was time for the Magic Show. “G” & “M” secured the services of Matt Hollywood, who has worked from everyone from Seinfeld through to Jerry Lewis and Robbie Williams. Matt dazzled and entertained the guests with both his magic and comedy, and was enjoyed by all.

Dessert, lovely speeches from “G”‘s dad, the bestman, “M” & “G” and it was time for the first dance – a special moment which was if they were both encased in a bubble and oblivious to anything around them – it was so beautiful. Joined on the dance floor by the wedding party and guests, everyone proceed to enjoy the rest of the evening. Before long it was time for the farewell dance before departing to start their new married life together.

“G” & “M” it was such a joy meeting you both, hearing you love story and I really love how you complement and bounce of each other, I love your honesty, I love how you make each other laugh and how obvious it is that you are both so very deeply in love with each other – it truly makes my heart happy!. Thank you so much for placing your trust in me, giving me the great honour of sharing some of your wedding journey with you and being your Sydney Wedding DJ & MC Entertainer – it was a magical experience [in more ways than one 🙂 ] . You are beautiful individuals and your love for each other and no nonsense approach to life will ensure an extremely happy future together.  May love, laughter and music continue to fill your lives forever!!

  • Wedding Ceremony & Reception | 25 February 2012 | Tumbling Waters Retreat, Stanwell Tops

“Once In a While, Right in the Middle of an Ordinary Life, Love Gives Us a Fairy Tale” – Anonymous.

‘S’ did not like ‘T’ much when they first met. But they became friends and that friendship grew into love. Here we now were on an absolutely beautiful February day, at one of my favourite locations, Tumbling Waters Retreat, to witness and celebrate the beginning of S and T’s “happy ever after”.

The ceremony, officiated by T’s father, was held on the lawns overlooking the waters of the Pacific Ocean and the clear blue skies in the horizon. A special song entitled “Loving You”, written especially for S & T’s wedding by groomsman Stephen, was performed during the signing of the Register, adding a lovely touch to this special moment. (A recording of this performance is available below).

Whilst S & T had photographs around the property and off site, the guests enjoyed refreshments, canapes and the amazing view. Shortly afterwards the reception commenced. The wedding party and our ever so happy couple were greeted with great applause. A delicious meal, interspersed with some lovely heartfelt speeches from S’s dad, T’s mum and dad, S’s sister, friends B & F and last but not least, T. The wedding cake was cut and it was time for S & T’s fist dance as a married couple. Part way through they were joined by the members of the wedding party and the parents, followed by the remainder of the guests. Dancing followed before it was time for the bouquet toss – it went straight up and ricocheted off the chandelier. This was followed by a special moment for S and her dad during the father/daughter dance. Back to dancing and before we knew it it was time for the farewell dance and S and T left to begin their new life together.

S and T’s wedding was very special. You could see how happy they were to be married. Whenever you were in their presence, you could feel the love between them. It was the bringing together of two cultures, but more so, it was two beautiful individuals whose love is greater than that in any fairy tale. Thank you for inviting me to be a part of your amazing day. S and T enjoy your “happy ever after”. May love, laughter and music fill your lives forever.

  • Sunday Telegraph Weddings Section | Alison & Kieran

One of the best things about each of the two Sydney Sunday papers is their respective wedding section. Each Sunday I look forward to reading about the featured couples and their wedding day story. This morning I was very pleasantly surprised and excited to see Alison & Kieran as one of the featured couples in the Sunday Telegraph Weddings Section.

Seeing their photograph and reading the summary of their wedding transported me back to their wonderful and highly emotional celebration and it gave me great joy to replay elements of their special and amazing day in my mind. It also reminded me that the key to a fun and successful wedding is the pre-production work. Alison, Kieran and I committed a lot of time to this process and we certainly had a lot of fun along the way, but most importantly, the result was – a wedding day that dreams are made of!
