  • Wedding Ceremony & Reception | 13 February 2016 | Samantha & Michael | Gibraltar Hotel, Bowral, Southern Highlands

Samantha and Michael first met at work in May of 2013, but it was not until after a few weeks of flirting that they went on their first date and officially became a couple. Two weeks following that date, they were very much smitten with each other and falling deeper in love as each day passed. After another eight weeks or so, they knew they wanted to spend the rest of their lives together. On 18 June 2014, just over a year after they had first met, whilst in Venice, Michael organised a dinner which was followed by a gondola ride and near the Rialto Bridge, Michael proposed to his Sammi.

Fast forward to 13 February 2016, a glorious, picture perfect Southern Highlands day, filled with the warmth and love of their family and friends, Samantha and Michael were married. They chose to have their ceremony and reception at the Gibraltar Hotel Bowral , a modern stylish hotel which overlooks an 18 hole golf course. It was a beautiful, simple ceremony, wonderfully officiated by Susan Winters, and totally reflected the lovely relaxed nature of this gorgeous couple.

Following the ceremony, guests had an opportunity to congratulate the newlyweds before a group photograph and then Samantha, Michael and the wedding party went for photographs around the picturesque property with Dianna Watson. Meanwhile guests were treated to refreshments and canapé’s.

A little while later, we welcomed the wedding party into the reception room with great applause, of course the loudest and biggest welcome was for Samantha and Michael!! A short welcome and thank you from Michael and then guests were served a delicious entrée. This was followed by speeches from Michael’s dad, Chris and Samantha’s dad, Gavin. An emotional Father Daughter dance, the cake cutting and then into the main meal. Speeches from Matron of Honour, Peta-Lyn and Best Man, Sean, the newlywed game – which was a lot of fun!, dessert and finally speeches from both Samantha and Michael.

It was now time for this beautiful couple to have their first dance – this was a very special moment that encompassed all the love they have for each other and that of their family and friends with Samantha once again shedding a few tears of love and happiness. For a hopeless romantic like me, it is these little moments that make a wedding really special where the connection between a couple, which for them is like no one else is in the room, transcends to draw everybody else into the moment with them – truly made my heart very happy!

The wedding party and guests joined Sam and Michael on the dance floor. Before we knew it it was time for the bouquet and garter toss, the farewell circle and Samantha and Michael departed to start their new life as a married couple.

The whole process leading up to Samantha and Michael’s wedding was such a delightful experience. The wedding was fun, intimate, personal and so relaxed. They are an awesome couple who are so deeply in love. They created a wedding that was a joyous fun celebration.. and I LOVED every second of it. Thank you so much for the trust you placed in me and the huge privilege you gave me allowing me to be your Southern Highlands Wedding MC & DJ, I hope that you both had the best day! I know you will love each other forever and always, to infinity and beyond! May love, laughter and music fill your lives forever!

  • Wedding Ceremony & Reception | 14 February 2015 | Adrienne & Patrick | Bendooley Estate, Berrima, Southern Highlands

From the very first moments of my initial telephone conversation with Adrienne and Patrick, I felt a real connection with them. They must have felt the same! For a few days later on a Monday morning I received a telephone call from Patrick asking whether I would be able to see them later that morning for an Entertainment Design Consultation. I asked did they both have a day off from work and the response was, “No, but Adrienne and I have been talking about our wedding and based on our conversation the other evening, we both decided to take a sickie and were hoping you could see us today.” Well that normal two hour Consultation extended into something like five hours. To say that we immediately hit it off, is a massive understatement.

During that meeting they detailed how they had met on 12 February 2012 on Patong Beach in Phuket, Thailand. Adrienne was in Phuket with her girlfriend Alice and they were walking along the beach when Patrick happened to be walking past – little did they know that this would be the beginning of their beautiful love story. Adrienne immediately caught Patrick’s eye, but he initially kept walking. Adrienne obviously had made quite an impression on Patrick as millions of thoughts were suddenly flooding through his mind. Something told him he should go back and talk to her. A little while after he caught up with them and some small talk, Alice headed into the water, Patrick followed and started talking to Alice. Adrienne joined them in the water and the conversation. Whilst in the water, Patrick found out it was Adrienne’s birthday and suggested they all go to dinner. All three enjoyed a relaxing afternoon and evening together. Adrienne felt there was something special about Patrick even though at one point she had briefly considered he might be a stalker, as he was never too far away for the next few days.

Once they returned to Australia, they kept in contact, regularly chatting on the phone and Skype – the fact that Adrienne lived in Melbourne and Patrick lived in Sydney was only a minor obstacle. A few months later Patrick went to visit Adrienne in Melbourne and being together again confirmed to the both of them, that ‘them’ was something really special. This long distance relationship continued for around 18 months, and whilst difficult, they made the most of each of their telephone calls, Skype dates and occasional plane trips. Eventually, Adrienne made the decision to move to Sydney to be with Patrick.

Their relationship blossomed and they enjoyed many adventures. In June 2014, whilst on a holiday to Thailand, Patrick surprised Adrienne by proposing, a special moment where it had all begun for them both, the place they had first cast eyes on one another, a place that was now even more special.

Fast forward to Valentine’s Day 2015 and the skies did not look very promising. Adrienne & Patrick selected to have their wedding ceremony and reception at Bendooley Estate, located in Berrima, near Bowral in the Southern Highlands of NSW. Even though there was the random drop of rain in the lead up, thankfully, it held off until the very end of the ceremony. It was a beautiful ceremony in a picturesque, serene and idyllic location, officiated by Fiona Dacombe, it included heartfelt personal vows and was such a joy to witness Patrick & Adrienne finally become husband and wife.

The wedding reception, held in the Book Barn, was full of lots of fun, laughter, love and dancing. A beautiful moment for me, was during Patrick’s speech when he paid tribute to Adrienne’s late father, Russell. He did so by writing a letter to Russell and reading this letter out to everyone. It had many in the room wiping tears from their eyes and laughing out loud, and if anybody had any doubt as to Patrick’s love for and complete devotion to Adrienne, the reading of this letter would have certainly dispelled these thoughts.

Guests were treated to scrumptious canapés and a delicious table buffet, consisting of an array of South American inspired cuisine, a dessert station and later in the evening, whilst guests were dancing their little ‘tushies’ off, a Slider Station.

It was a beautiful wedding day in a fantastic location. Adrienne & Patrick had told me that they wanted their reception to be natural, authentic and warm – I believe it was all these things and more! The love of their family and friends was evident, everybody made everybody feel welcome, everybody was authentic, there certainly were no pretentious airs and graces – even to the extent of the odd ‘naughty word’ slipping into some of the speeches. These were real people, being themselves, enjoying themselves and united in the happiness they felt and love they shared for Adrienne & Patrick.

Adrienne and Patrick, thank you so much for gracing me with the honour and privilege of being a part of your amazing wedding day as your Southern Highlands Wedding DJ & MC. I enjoyed every moment of it and also truly value the wonderful time we spent together planning all the details. I hope to share more wonderful times with you both in the future. You are a very special couple who will continue to inspire others with your unwavering circle of love and your infectious zest for life. May love, laughter and music fill your lives forever!!!

  • Wedding Ceremony & Reception | 18 October 2014 | Cobie & Neil | Baillieu Ballroom, Milton Park Country House Hotel, Bowral, Southern Highlands

Cobie and Neil are a truly beautiful couple and what an amazing wedding day it was! It was full of much love, laughter, family and their favourite things! Both the ceremony and reception was held at the picturesque Milton Park – Country House & Spa, in Bowral, in the Southern Highlands.

Cobie and Neil met on the 15th May 2010 after exchanging smiles across the dance floor. Cobie thought that he was tall enough for her friend, but Neil only had eyes for Cobie and by the end of the evening Neil had provided her with his telephone number. The next morning Cobie did not hesitate to text Neil resulting in their very first date on that same day – little did they know that this was to be the start of the rest of their lives together! As time passed, and they spent more and more time together, eventually meeting each others respective families and their feelings for each other growing stronger and stronger with each passing day – they were in love!; sweet, giddy, love!

On 8 December 2012 – Cobie’s birthday, Neil had organised a special lunch at Berowra Waters. Cobie was led to believe that the lunch would be at Rose Bay, but when they got there, she found that Neil had arranged for a seaplane to take them to the real destination. After lunch, Neil took Cobie outside, dropped to one knee, produced the engagement ring and asked Cobie to spend the rest of her life with him as his wife. With the ring sparkling brightly in the afternoon sun, Cobie caught by surprise, initially laughed, but she did say yes and here we now were witnessing and celebrating their marriage.

It was the most perfect day for the most perfect couple, the sun shone brightly and the slight breeze keeping everyone comfortable – they could not have wished for better weather. Following a beautiful ceremony, officiated by Celebrant Craig Moran, there were cheers as Cobie & Neil were finally pronounced husband and wife. A group photograph and a few family shots prior to Cobie, Neil and their wedding party heading off for photographs around the idyllic Milton Park grounds. Guests made their way up to the upper lawn where an array of lounges and games were available whilst being served canapes and refreshments.

A little while later everybody made their way to the Baillieu Ballroom to celebrate Cobie and Neil’s love and the coming together of two amazing families. So much laughter, fun and happiness in one room was such a joy to behold. Lovely speeches, mingling, fun activities and dancing was the perfect recipe for a fantastic celebration. The bouquet toss, garter toss, a farewell circle, a final dance and it was time to bid farewell to our beautiful couple.

Cobie and Neil are so deeply in love that it literally radiates off them and touches all those around them…I was no exception and these two certainly touched my heart with the love they share for each other. Cobie & Neil, it was such an honour and privilege to not only witness you become husband & wife, but also to be your Southern Highlands Wedding MC and Wedding DJ Bowral and it is certainly something I will always cherish and hold dear. You have a special love and I know that with each passing day, you will both fall more and more in love with each other. May love, laughter and music fill your lives forever!!!.
