Wedding Ceremony & Reception | 7 December 2013 | Haley & Aaron Salter | Peppers Craigieburn, Bowral, Southern Highlands

It was the perfect weather for Haley and Aaron’s morning wedding ceremony and lunchtime reception at Peppers Craigieburn, Bowral, in The Southern Highlands. The sun was beaming down on these two lovers as they exchanged vows, committed to marriage and promised to love each other for all time.

Haley and Aaron met 6 years earlier through mutual friend Stephanie – who today was one of the bridesmaids. They began spending time together, got to know one another better and eventually started dating after 6 months.  They have been through a lot together and their relationship has had its share of ups and downs throughout the years, they have always managed to work through them together and come out stronger at the other end. They are each others anchor in a stormy sea. They are awesome, honest and down to earth people, they laugh easily, love openly, cherish each other deeply and are so much fun to be around! They are also both very hard workers, they are both very passionate about their family and providing a stable environment for Jayden. They enjoy the outdoors and spend most of their free time outside.

Needless to say it was a beautiful wedding full of love and lots of fun!!…and even though there was the odd hiccup, they took it all in their stride and were determined to have the time of their lives regardless. A delightful time was had by all as they enjoyed their meal, mingling, chatting, the speeches, dancing and celebrating this special day with Haley and Aaron.

Haley and Aaron’s relationship is built on a foundation of love, honesty and respect. They are equals and are united in achieving their goals. Haley and Aaron, I am completely honoured that you allowed me the great privilege to be a part of your fantastic day and that I got the opportunity to; get to know you better, meet your family and friends, see happy smiles and silly faces, but most of all, the abundance of love! Have a wonderful delayed honeymoon next year and may love, laughter and music continue to fill your lives forever!!!

“I promise to share with you a relationship of love, honesty and commitment. I will stand by you through all of our tomorrows respecting you as a person and your individuality. I promise to live with you and laugh with you; to stand by your side and sleep in your arms; to always bring out the best in you and to be the most that I can be. This is my promise for our life together.” ~ Haley

“You are the only woman I want to share my life with, and I promise to encourage you in your successes and support you when you stumble or have doubt; I promise to work with you and walk along side you, to create a life and family full of joy, fun and meaning. This is my solemn and binding vow. ” ~ Aaron

Vicky and Risto’s Wedding | 27 July 2013 | Centennial Vineyards, Bowral

Even though Vicky and Risto worked together, it was not until Vicky’s last day before starting a new job, which happened to coincide with staff drinks that she and Risto got talking, sparks started flying and they shared their first kiss. They had dinner together a few days later and thus was the beginning of this beautiful love story. Just over a year later, on a beach in Wineglass Bay, Tasmania, Risto proposed to Vicky. Amongst the tears and laughter, Vicky managed to say “Yes” and here we were celebrating their wedding day.

On what was one of the most a perfect sunny winter’s day, Vicki & Risto exchanged vows in St Simon and St Jude Anglican Church and celebrated their wedding at Centennial Restaurant, Centennial Vineyards, both located in Bowral, Southern Highlands.  As the sun was setting, guests (some that had made the trip from the UK, Canada and Singapore) gathered in the Courtyard area in front of the outdoor fireplace, for canapés and drinks whilst Vicky & Risto had photographs taken around the vineyard.

As the winter chilled started to fill the air, guests made their way into the restaurant before Vicky, Risto and their wedding party were welcomed by great applause. A lovely speech from Vicky as she thanked her Mum, her brother, sisters, paid tribute to her Dad and then spoke to Risto’s family in Macedonian, which received rapturous applause, before ending with some special words for Risto.  This was followed by her brother William.

The Centennial Restaurant staff then served the guests a delicious entrée, followed shortly later by a delectable main, which was enjoyed by all. It then gave me great pleasure to be able to share numerous “audiograms” from the UK, US and Hong Kong, all conveying their best wishes and sending a little “International Love” Vicky and Risto’s way from those that were unable to be in attendance.

It was then time for the remainder of the speeches commencing with Risto’s Dad, Zivko, followed by Godfather, Igor, Best Man, Mike and last but not least, Risto. Risto thanked his parents, Vicky’s Mum, Edie, all the guests who had travelled to be there and finished by letting his new wife know just exactly how much she meant to him and that he was really looking forward to 2063 (when they would be celebrating their 50th Wedding Anniversary).

Next came the cutting of the wedding cake, a scrumptious dessert and it was time for Vicky & Risto’s first dance as husband and wife. They were joined part way through by the members of the wedding party before the guests then made their way onto the dance floor and the party began. Alternating with live traditional Macedonian music guests danced the night away whilst also availing themselves to the Lolly Buffet and entertaining themselves with the Photobooth. A final farewell dance and it was time for Vicky & Risto to depart. Loved how as they emerged from the tunnel of love and were about to go through the door, Vicky turned around and she and Risto spontaneously  kissed – I was so thrilled to capture this fantastic moment and in essence, sealing the wedding with a loving kiss – just so beautiful!!

Vicky and Risto are a beautiful couple who share a deep love for each other, they are best friends and complement each other perfectly. You could feel the love and need only look at some of the photographs to see this. I loved seeing how both their faces light up when you are in each others presence, adored the way they openly display their love and sneak in a kiss at every opportunity. Vicky and Risto you deserve all the happiness in the world. Thank you for allowing me to be a part of the very first few hours of your happy ever after – this was certainly a great day, but remember that everyday you are together, is the greatest day of your life. May love, laughter and music continue to fill your lives forever!!!

Wedding Reception | 25 May 2013 | Julianne and Ben Davis | Southern Highland Wines, Sutton Forest, Southern Highlands

“Happiness is not a destination. It is a way of life”. ” We don’t stop laughing because we grow old, we grow old because we stop laughing”. Signs with these two quotes were displayed prominently at the reception and totally represents Julianne and Ben. Besides being one of the most genuine, humble and sweetest couples I have ever met, Both cherish and adore each other to bits. Julianne has the most beautiful smile, an infectious laughter and a great attitude to life. Ben is a straight forward guy who loves cars but who also possesses a lovely warm nature – together they make the perfect couple and their wedding day was a true reflection of who they are, what they like and the beautiful love they share.

Julianne and Ben met in High School back in 1995. Ben took Julianne to an illegal drag race on their first date. Around two years later they realised they were deeply in love, but it was not until New Year’s Eve in 2011 that Ben surprised Julianne by proposing during the fireworks.

They were blessed with a beautiful sunny autumn day for their wedding in the Southern Highlands. The ceremony took place in a local church followed by the reception in the Barrel Room at Southern Highland Wines, Sutton Forest. As the sun slowly started to set and the chill began to fill the air, guests were welcomed with drinks, canapés and the warm interior of the Tasting Room. A little while later guests made their way downstairs to the Barrel Room and welcomed the parents; Diana, Hank, Cathie & Rod, the Bridesmaids & Grooms men; Brittney, Mark, Annette & Mathew, The Matron of Honour & Best Man; Katrina & Michael and finally our newly-weds, Julianne and Ben!! A short welcome & thank you from Julianne before the entrée was served and enjoyed by all.

It was now time to commence the formalities for the evening with speeches from the two dad’s. Julianne’s dad Hank was first followed by Ben’s dad, Rod. Both conveyed how very happy and proud they were on this wonderful occasion. The cutting of the cake, champagne and a kiss followed before the delightful main meal was served followed by speeches from Julianne & Ben’s year co-ordinator Carol and then Julianne’s sister and Matron of Honour, Katrina. A little bit of fun with the newly-wed game before guests enjoyed a delectable dessert. A speech from the best man Michael and then Ben himself. Ben thanked everyone for being a part of their day and stressed how much it meant to them both and once again declared his love for Julianne. A man of few words, but it was honest, straight from the heart and very meaningful.

To the sounds of Adele’s, ” Make You feel My Love”, Julianne and Ben commenced dancing their very first dance as husband and wife before being joined firstly by their wedding party and then the remainder of the guests. The rest of the evening was filled with dancing, catching up and having photos at the “Crazy Booth”. Time flies when you are having fun and before we knew it it was time for the bouquet and garter toss, the farewell dance with all the guests, guard of honour and Julianne and Ben departed on the highway to their new life together in their blue “hotted up and loud” chariot.

It was a fantastic day in a beautiful location and I believe the wedding represented who the both of you are perfectly. Julianne and Ben, thank you so much for giving me the opportunity to get to know you a little, hear your love story and be a part of your day as your Southern Highlands wedding DJ & MC. I loved seeing the connection you share, seeing the mutual love and respect you have for each other, your beautiful smiles, your inner beauty – it was truly an honour and privilege. I know that your life together will continue to bring you both lots of happiness. Enjoy married life and the journey to your “Happily Ever After” (there was a reason those words were on the wedding table) and may love, laughter and music continue to fill your lives forever!!!

Julianne & Ben’s unique wishing well – an engine!!

Favours – Measuring spoons for the girls and Spark-plug bottle openers for the guys.
